NSCDC Vows Renewed Vigour Against Illegal Bunkering in Rivers

Illegal oil bunkering and other illicit mining activities have remained a recurring decimal in Rivers State, which security agencies, over the years, have been working to eradicate.

To this end, the Rivers State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) says the state will experience renewed vigour in the fight against this menace in the coming weeks.

The Command has continued to record successes in dismantling illegal refineries, uncovering crude oil storage sites, and arresting suspects linked to pipeline vandalism and economic sabotage across the state, as part of a broader directive from the NSCDC national headquarters to step up intelligence-led operations across the Niger Delta
